Abstract

Hackathons, as a method of teaching and learning in higher education, deserve attention in the context of developing students' skills and fostering innovative thinking. This article not only explores the advantages students gain by participating in hackathons, such as practical skills, teamwork, and solving real-world problems, but also examines the impact of this method on society at large. The question raised in the article concerns the possibility of considering hackathons not only as a supplement to traditional teaching methods but as an independent method that contributes to the formation of creativity, autonomy, and entrepreneurial thinking. Analysing these aspects may alter the approach to organizing the educational process, positioning hackathons as a key element of modern education.
