Abstract
Abstract: The places where migrants live reveal to contemporary societies the most extreme experience of destitution: the feeling of “living outside”. The refugees’ encampment is a singular place of stopover, addressed by the “refuge-literature”. This literature collects the voices of the exile protagonists and questions what taking/seeking refuge means. Its forms are multiple: anthologies, collectives, poetic essays, speeches, fiction, theater, performance. They get close to intervention literature. Based on a poetic thinking, this literature is interested in different possibilities of inhabiting the world, of inhabiting movement, through the works of many contemporary writers: Arno Bertina, Patrick Chamoiseau, Marie Cosnay, Bruno Doucey, Marielle Macé, Hala Mohammad, Stephen Ngatcheu, Florence Pazzottu, Olivia Rosenthal, Jean-Pierre Siméon…
