Abstract

Abstract. The H 2 optimal control problem of systems with multiple i/o delays is solved. The problem is tackled by first reducing it to a one-block problem and further to an equivalent filtering problem. The filtering problem is then solved using frequency domain techniques. The resulting controller is an interconnection of rational blocks, non-rational finite impulse response (FIR) blocks, and delay components, all of which are implementable.
