Abstract

Using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer, we measured the H2 line mixing coefficients for 32 lines in the ν2 and ν4 bands of phosphine (PH3) at room temperature. These lines are located in the spectral range from 1016 to 1106cm−1. The pressure line mixing parameters have been obtained by fitting the measured line shapes using a multi-pressure fitting procedure that accounts for the apparatus function as well as the Doppler and collisional effects. The variation of these parameters with the rotational and vibrational quantum numbers is discussed.
