Abstract
Ni–Ce0.8Zr0.2O2 and Ni–MgO–Ce0.8Zr0.2O2 catalysts were investigated for H2 production from CO2 reforming of CH4 reaction at a very high gas hourly space velocity of 480,000 h−1. Ni–MgO–Ce0.8Zr0.2O2 exhibited higher catalytic activity and stability (CH4 conversion >95% at 800 °C for 200 h). The outstanding catalytic performance is mainly due to the basic nature of MgO and an intimate interaction between Ni and MgO.
