Abstract

Cis -to- trans isomerization is important for the production of trans -alkenes and derivatives. In this issue of Chem Catalysis , Zheng et al. report that atomically dispersed Pd catalysts are effective for heterolytic dissociation of H 2 into H δ+ and H δ− , yielding excellent selectivity for both hydrogen-mediated isomerization and H-D exchange of alkenes.
