Abstract

In accordance with the decision of the June (1980) Plenum of the Central Committee of the CPSU, the Twenty-sixth Party Congress will discuss the basic directions of economic and social development of the USSR between 1981 and 1985. In the course of preparing for the congress, central planning agencies, ministries, departments, scientific organizations, and association and enterprise collectives launched a major effort to outline prospects for the country's further economic development and to develop major economic problems, special integrated programs, and plans for the development of union and autonomous republics, krais, oblasts, raions, cities, associations, and enterprises.
