Abstract

Full promotion and protection of human rights depends mainly on the committed engagement of a range of domestic actors. The key to improving human rights observance in Bangladesh remains continual legislative reform that ensures law is kept up-to-date, clear, coherent and effective, and that it conforms with Bangladesh’s international human rights obligations. This Guidance Note is designed to assist review of the legislations of Bangladesh to assess their compliance with Bangladesh’s international human rights obligations.
