Abstract

There is an increasing interest in the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) technologies in the recent years. UAVs are essential for many applications where human presence is considered unnecessary, dangerous, or impossible. These applications include variety of scientific, civilian, and military applications. This paper reflects the efforts that we are taking over the years toward a deeper understanding of these technologies. Presentation of low-cost, small-size quadrotor UAV that we are using is given. Our research activities in the Guidance Navigation and Control (GN&C) algorithms for quadrotor UAV are discussed here.
