Abstract

Four new guaiane-type sesquiterpene, Artemisia integrifolia A (1), Artemisia integrifolia B (2), Artemisia integrifolia C (3), and Artemisia integrifolia D (4), along with ten known related analogues, were isolated from Artemisia integrifolia. Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis including UV, IR, 1D and 2D NMR and HR-ESI-MS. The cytotoxicity of these compounds against human cancer HeLa cells were evaluated. Compounds 3, 4, 10 and 13 showed moderate cytotoxic activities against HeLa cancer cells with IC50 values of 28.27, 27.79, 26.84 and 28.86 μM, respectively.
