Abstract

Electrostatic levitation method is one of the techniques of container-less processing of a droplet. Complex flow generated in the levitated ethanol aqueous solution droplets was observed. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the influence on the internal flow of measuring surface tension. Internal flow of levitated ethanol aqueous solution droplet was observed by a high-speed camera installed on the side of chamber. The surface tension was measured by the droplet vibration method. As a result, a possibility that the internal flow has influence on measurement of the surface tension were revealed.
