Abstract

This article aims at briefly presenting the few-centuries-long history of Georgians in Poland. This minority is very rarely described in population surveys and often neglected in censuses. In this article, the presence of Georgians in Poland in described from different perspectives. Special attention is paid to the international, primarily Russian and Soviet contexts of the minority’s life. This subject has not been sufficiently studied by historians and this article attempts to fill this gap. Moreover, the author identifies the areas which still need to be researched, thus showing the direction of future research in this field.
