Abstract

The inoculation of an effective Rhizobium bacterial strain and the inoculation of an associative bacterial strain increased the growth and yield( Pisum sativum “Grapis”) in field experiments on different soil types. The diazotrophic bacterial strain Pantoea agglomerans (D5/23) produces phytohormones in pure culture, stimulates an early infection of pea roots with native rhizobia cells and so their nitrogenase activity. The strai stimulated the root length growth of pea plants and protected simultaneously the young plant roots against fungal pathogens.
