Abstract

High‐Tc superconductors of Bi‐Sr‐Ca‐Cu‐O were synthesized by means of repeated processes of repressing‐sintering to yield a high content of the Bi2Sr2Ca2Cu3O10 phases which exhibits consistently a transition temperature around 110K from ac susceptibility and a temperature around 110K from ac susceptibility and a temperature at zero resistance above 100K from transport measurements. The critical current density was determined from magnetic hysteresis using a SQUID magnetometer. Comparison of the magnetic field dependence of critical current density is made for materials obtained with different processing conditions.
