Abstract
Healthy breast-fed Australian infants had weight increments in the second 3 months of infancy which were well below standard figures for normal weight reported from Britain and more closely resembled data from developing countries. There is a need for more information about growth of healthy breast-fed infants and agreement about reference values against which international information can validly be compared.
