Abstract
We report a study on the growth of Fe-substituted Sr6Co5O15 hexagonal perovskite single crystals, Sr6(Co1–xFex)5O15, by using the flux method. It is found that the optimal growth condition of single crystals is the precursors obtained by the solid-phase method, and the cooling rate is 1 °C/h within the temperature range of 930 (980 °C) to 800 °C (850 °C). The X-ray diffraction results indicate that the obtained single crystals have good crystallinity, and the size of the crystals is on the order of millimeters. Furthermore, the performance of electrocatalysts on the single crystal (hh0) and (00l) planes with different Fe-substituted components was also investigated.
