Abstract

Some characteristics of anodic oxide films growth on titanium-nickel alloys in the borate buffer solution and local breakdown of alloy passivity in the chloride and bromide solutions were determined from the experimental results. In particular, the dependences of anodic oxide film thickness at a given formation potential, anodizing constant, and potential of passivity breakdown (anodic-anionic activation) on the nickel content in the alloys are obtained.
