Abstract

It is demonstrated that the observed production by ultrasound of stable cavitation bubbles in tissues, at the frequency and intensities used by ter Haar and Daniels, (see ibid., vol. 26, p.1145-9, 1981), can be predicted on the basis of a presently available theory concerning the growth of bubbles by rectified diffusion.
