Abstract

Abstract The melting behavior of crystalline La2CaB10O19 (LCB), a new nonlinear optical crystal, was investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction analysis and differential thermal analysis. LCB single crystals were grown both by the top-seeded solution growth method and by the pulling method. The orientation relationship between the crystallographic axes (a,b,c) and crystallophysical axes (X,Y,Z) is discussed.
