Abstract

Bronchial asthma (asthma) is a chronic inflammatory airway disease which participated by many kinds of cells and cellular components. Airway remodeling in asthma appear early stage and progressed along with the condition aggravates, involved in the chronic inflammatory process of asthma.Persistent asthma symptoms, severity and airway hyperresponsiveness are closely related with airway remodeling. As such, understanding how remodeling contributes to asthma progression is crucial to the development of better therapeutics and disease management. Growth factors are proteins that bind to receptors on the cell surface, with the primary result of activating cellular proliferation and (or) differentiation. It is directly bound up with growth and development, differentiation, and tumor. Recent studies have shown a variety of growth factors involved in airway remodeling.
