Abstract

In this paper, high-quality Li:SrB4O7 (LSBO) crystals have been obtained and the distribution of domain structures induced by Li+-doped has a certain regularity. The crystal defects, domain structure morphology and growth characteristics are investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), microstructure observation, etc. The results prove that the derivation of domain structure depends on the growth direction of crystal and Li+-doping enhances this result. Further frequency-doubling effect tests show that the as-prepared crystal can realize the frequency-doubling conversion of laser from 532 nm to 266 nm, which provides the ideas and methods for the further development and application of SBO NLO crystals.
