Abstract

Growth of Cordyceps militaris (Linn. ex Fr:) Link in submerged culture was studied. The production of unicellular forms was found to be a sporulation process involving the formation of conidia from phialides. Conditions stimulating growth also enhanced spore production. Spore counts up to 8·2 × 108 per ml were observed.
