Abstract

Lobster or spiny lobster (Panulirus sp) is a crustacean that is larger than other crustaceans (lobsters). Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and Japan [1]. Indonesia has a sea area of 2/3 of the land, so it has the potential to be utilized for the economy of the Indonesian people, however, the use of marine resources must maintain environmental sustainability [1] Based on the potential of marine waters, it is necessary to take strategic steps to develop lobster cultivation technology to increase production to be able to produce lobsters with high survival and growth. The problem that is still faced when cultivating lobster is the lack of open water environmental studies, the right density, as a place for lobster rearing that is used to approach the state of its environment in nature. The purpose of this study was to obtain optimal density of lobsters in floating net cages (KJA), gain growth (weight and length). This study is an experimental study using a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatment levels and three replications to minimize errors, so 12 experimental units are needed. The treatments used in this study were: P0 (10 panulirus/m2), P1 (15 panulirus/m2), P2 (20 panulirus/m2) and P3 (25 panulirus/m2). The results obtained temporarily were PO treatment (stocking density of 10 fish/m2 got the highest weight gain (29, 63 g) and the lowest was P1 (stocking density of 20 fish/m) 25,57 grams. The highest survival rate was P0 (100%) and the lowest was P3 ( 96%), The highest of glucose hemolymph was P2 (78 mg/dL) and the lowest was P0 (23 mg/dL). And the highest of Hemocyte Total Count was P2 (7, 8 ×106/cell) and the lowest were P0 ( 2, 1×106/cell).
