Abstract

Using synchrotron radiation, dynamic X-ray observation of defects in crystals has been made easily with an X-ray sensing television camera tube having a resolution of 6μm. The observation led to understanding of origins and behaviour of point defects as well as dislocations at the melting point. The usefulness of such live topography is demonstrated by the experimental results.
