Abstract
Single crystals of tris thiourea potassium chloride have been grown by slow evaporation technique at room temperature. The grown crystals were characterized by XRD, TG-DTA, UV and FTIR. The presence of functional group is identified from the UV and FTIR spectra. The TG curve undergoes a two step weight loss on heating the compound from 0° to 1200 °C. The thermal stability are due to the bonding between the thiourea molecule and the potassium ions. The SHG efficiency increases due to the inclusion of potassium ions.
