Abstract
The mixed single crystals of UV filter, potassium zinc nickel sulphate hexahydrate (PZNSHH) were crystallized by the slow evaporation technique. Unit cell parameters were determined by the single crystal X-ray technique. This X-ray technique reveals that the grown crystals belongs to the monoclinic crystal system with the space group P21/c. The functional group analysis was carried out using FT-IR spectroscopy in the range of 4000–400cm−1. The concentration of the doping was analyzed by the atomic absorption spectroscopic studies. The transmission property of the PZNSHH was investigated by UV–vis spectra. The thermal stability of the grown crystals were confirmed by TGA/DTA. This results shows that the presence of water molecule. The lower concentration of Zn metal shows the higher thermal stability and better efficiency for UV filter.
