Abstract
‘Cox's Orange Pippin’ is a much appreciated apple, but it is difficult to grow. Climatic conditions such as temperature, air humidity and wind speed must be as favourable as possible to prevent Cox's disease, which can be considered as a symptom of water stress. A stress index was designed and used to find places where commercial production of ‘Cox's Orange Pippin’ is feasible. A map of the potential production area was produced.
