Abstract

The 60th anniversary in August of the D-Day landings provided a reminder that our older people are owed a debt of gratitude for their great efforts on the battlefield and on the home front. However, any belief that they will have a trouble free and pampered old age is constantly under threat from care shortcomings and financial worries.
