Abstract
ABSTRACT THE proposed seeded tape-sheet system utilizes a combination of nondegradable tape material attached to a sheet of degradable material with single seeds positioned in a special array for future handling of seedlings during field planting. Seeds germinate and grow in the holes or through the perforations of the nondegradable tape material, and the degradable sheet loses its structure and disintegrates after seed emergence. Seedlings growing in the tape will be prepared for field planting by pulling the tape after undercutting the roots and forming a seedling roll.
