Abstract

In response to legal and ethical concerns and a need to demonstrate service accountability, a centralized case supervision system was implemented for Project 12-Ways, a large child abuse and neglect service project. In order to increase weekly Counselor supervision, several conditions were examined. These conditions were: Feedback, Graphic Group Feedback and Individual Feedback for Compliance, Prompting, Supervisor Maintenance, and Graphic Group Feedback plus Individual Feedback for Compliance, plus a memo for Non-compliance. The Graphic Group Feedback plus Individual Feedback for Complicance Conditions produced considerably higher mean rates of Counselor supervision than the baseline conditions. A time series analysis indicated that the Group Feedback Condition was not statistically significant from baseline, whereas the Graphic Group Feedback plus Individual Feedback for Compliance was significantly greater than baseline.
