Abstract

This paper focuses on the ongoing process of decolonization and reconciliation in the art therapy training program at the Kutenai Art Therapy Institute (KATI). It is presented as a story in honor of the Indigenous emphasis on storytelling as research. It includes a discussion on training art therapists to be culturally sensitive, increasing the awareness of Indigenous ways of knowing and research, and the development of the Groundwater Initiative.
