Abstract

The seismic data, which are processed by the CT, are divided into the coarse layer, the detail layer and the fine layer . Energy distribution picture of the seismic data contaminated by ground rolls, represents strongest energy is in the coarse layer, the weakest in the fine layer and the energy wears off from the coarse layer to the fine layer. Since the ground roll has the feature of the low frequency and strong energy, then coarse layer data are the low frequency portion of seismic data which include vast ground-roll energy. So it can be suppressed by deleting the curvelet coefficient of the coarse layer. The CT also has the good distinguish ability in the directional signal. The energy of a ground-roll signal which is transformed by the CT still distributes in the specific directional matrix of the detail layer. The ground-roll energy distribution can be determined by the energy analysis of meaning square of each directional matrix in the detail layer, and then by suppressing the ground-roll energy group noise cancelling is done.
