Abstract

Abstract The electronic structure of the ground state of the Coqblin-Schrieffer model with the spin-orbit and crystal-field splittings is determined from the orthogonality and compensation theorem. The magnetoresistance is calculated, in which a remarkable crystal-field effect is predicted in the Kondo Ce compounds.
