Abstract
By a rescaling both the kinetic and potential energy terms of the harmonic oscillator in conventional shell model(SM) and a mean field imitating, a self-similar-structure shell model(SSM) in which the single-particle orbits have state- or orbit-dependent frequencies was proposed to extend the SM calculations to light nuclei near the neutron drip line.
