Abstract

An investigation of the dependence of the ground band and quasi-ground energies of rotational and vibrational nuclei on the nuclear shell characteristics is proposed. Respectively, two formulae for the moment of inertia of well-deformed nuclei and for the vibrational frequency of spherical ones are obtained. By means of these formulae, the ground band energies of the 330 experimental low-lying states of 70 rotational nuclei and 92 states of 35 vibrational ones are reproduced.
