Abstract

Abstract The cave at Lummelunda, Gotland, is developed along an underground stream in Silurian reef limestone. The mouth of the cave is situated in a scarp near the present coast line, above the Litorina strandline. The cavern system, consisting of open rooms and narrow channels, is known to an extent of more than 150 m from the mouth (Fig. 1).
