Abstract

Abstract Physicochemical studies indicate that acyl carrier protein, in its native state, is a typical globular protein, with a low frictional coefficient and an optical rotatory dispersion curve indicative of a high degree of ordered structure. Like other globular proteins, acyl carrier protein is reversibly denatured by the addition of guanidine hydrochloride.
