Abstract

Grief counselling and therapy are in a period of ferment as emerging claims and models are developed that challenge our assumptions about how people accommodate loss and how counsellors and therapists can best help them to do so. This article reviews recent developments in bereavement research and practice that studies show are effective in helping bereaved people who are struggling to rebuild their lives following loss.
