Abstract
Steady-state grey screening-photovoltaic spatial solitons are predicted for biased photovoltaic–photorefractive crystals when the diffraction of an optical beam is exactly compensated by nonlinear self-defocusing, due to the photovoltaic field and screening field set up in the photovoltaic–photorefractive crystal to which an external electric field is applied.
