Abstract

Greenhouse gas emissions of the transportation sector of the Central Luzon State University were estimated for the annual projection of Carbon Dioxide emissions (CO2e). A total of 14 vehicles used by 15 colleges and departments were analyzed which contributes to the CO2e of the university. The CO2e of vehicles varied in terms of diesel consumption, kilometers traveled overall load weight, kilometer per liter coefficient, driving condition, and overall vehicle status. The total distance traveled by the 14 vehicles was 27,384.6101 km consuming a total of 3,262.71 liters of Diesel and emitting a total of 8,613.553 kg of CO2e. Greenhouse gas inventory (GHGI) was incorporated into energy policy recommendations which are projected to promote awareness in the community with the goal of reducing or offsetting CO2e.
