Abstract

This research work has mainly focused on the different properties and antibacterial activities of green synthesized AgCl-NPs. The characterizations of prepared powder of AgCl-NPs have been done by various experimental as well as theoretical techniques. The SEM and XRD results give the confirmation about the spherical like shape and FCC crystalline structure of AgCl-NPs. UV–Visible spectra provides the optical band gap energy around 2.91 eV which is very close to the theoretical value (2.73 eV). The antimicrobial activities have been studied against the Gram-positive Listeria monocytogenes MTCC 657 and the Gram-negative Salmonella typhimurium MTCC 3224 bacteria.
