Abstract
Abstract Fermis golden rule is derived in terms of Green's functions and is proved that in the limit cases—narrow and large quantum wells—the scattering rates for the electron–phonon interactions are the same for the dielectric continuum model and the bulk phonon approximation to describe the optical phonons.
