Abstract

Here, we demonstrate the fabrication process of green printed hybrid TiO2 nanostructures on a gold mirror and the corresponding optical characterization. TiO2 nanoparticles of anatase phase are synthesized with an average size of 400 nm. Such TiO2 nanoparticles are dispersed in water and utilized to print hybrid TiO2 nanostructures on gold substrates. Scattering spectra of the printed hybrid TiO2 nanoparticles with different sizes are investigated experimentally, numerically as well as theoretically and the results are in agreement. Besides, the printed hybrid TiO2 chains show distinct second harmonic generation with a quadratic dependence. We believe this printed hybrid TiO2 system is promising for biosensing, photocatalysis and other applications.
