Abstract

Here we report a new photocatalytic system of the Ag3PO4 semiconductor coupled with Sr4Al14O25:(Eu,Dy) long afterglow phosphor, which can harvest persistent phosphorescence to decompose organic contaminants in aqueous solution after turning off the lamp irradiation. This suggests a strategy to design new photocatalysts as a practical photofunctional material for wastewater cleaning.
