Abstract

Interplanting of pre-infested Chinese cabbage, Brassica oleracea L., Pekinensis Group, into potato field plots was an effective method for enhancing infestations of Myzus persicae (Sulzer) in potatoes. Populations on inter planted plots were as much as 10.7-fold greater than on noninterplanted plots. This technique can be useful to field researchers in augmenting natural field infestations of the green peach aphid.
