Abstract

Light-Triggered Drug Release In article number 2101754, Changyou Zhan, Weiping Wang, and co-workers develop an “intravenous injection plus light-triggered intraocular drug release” strategy to achieve drug accumulation in retinoblastoma. The strategy is demonstrated with a green light-responsive nanocarrier self-assembled by photocleavable trigonal molecules. After intravenous injection of drug-loaded nanocarriers, green light triggers the disassembly of nanocarriers in the retinal blood vessels, which leads to intraocular drug release and accumulation to suppress retinoblastoma growth.
