Abstract

Saffron, recognised as an expensive spice in the world. Saffron is the main water treatment, employment. Saffron is one of the main export products of non-petroleum. To increase the production and export of this product by modern methods should replace traditional methods in different production areas saffron. In research were compared traditional and greenhouse methods in saffron production based on sustainable development parameters. This research is a kind of applied type. Sample farming units was done by genus and sampling methods for greenhouse and traditional methods respectively. The sample size for greenhouse and traditional methods is calculated 30 and 101 respectively. Data collection was done by interview and questionnaire completing in the farming year 2016-2017. The results of the TOPSIS technique show that the greenhouse methods for social and economic indicators of sustainable development are appropriate than the traditional method and appropriate for environmental protection.
