Abstract
We report herein the synthesis of new layered organic-inorganic acidic hydrogen-free lead halide perovskite (Et4N)2PbBr2I2via wet chemical approach. The as-prepared layered perovskite showed very good thermal stability up to 300 °C as confirmed by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA/DTA). The phase and structural confirmation was performed by powered-X-rays diffraction (p-XRD). UV–vis spectroscopy, steady state photoluminescence and time resolved photoluminescence have shown that as-prepared perovskite is green emitter with band gap of 3.4 eV. The acidic hydrogen-less hybrid cation as potential spacer for layered perovskite structure have influenced the optical properties of the compound, showing its potential towards optoelectronic devices.
