Abstract
Some gravity effects arising due to mass redistribution in the coal-mining area in northwestern Bohemia are investigated. A special gravity polygon was established on the adjacent slopes of the Krušné hory Mountains and precise gravity measurements have been carried out since the autumn of 1984. Gravity changes in this area may result from 1. 1. radial displacements of observational points, 2. 2. variations of underground water levels, 3. 3. mass redistribution in the coal-mining area. The lattes quantities have been calculated from the special mining maps and excluded from measured values of gravity differences. Having carried out this operation, the resulting values from each set of measurements were compared.
