Abstract

IT is possible to show mathematically that a particle which is located on a rotating object is attracted by all the particles of the object according to the inverse square law. Several important consequences follow as a result of this theorem. One of the most important is that Newton's second law of motion and the law of universal gravitation are not laws apart; one can be deduced from the other. Another is that gravity is due to the rotation of the Galaxy, and from this the following verifiable conclusion is obtained.
